The Delhi government has approached the hospitality industry to maintain the green cover and develop the landscape of the Dhaula Kuan flyover.
In order to make Delhi a model and a state-of-the-art city before the Commonwealth Games 2010, the Delhi government wants to develop and maintain the aesthetic green cover and landscape of the flyovers, as well as the Ring Road. For this it has decided to take the help of the five star hotels.
Dhaula Kuan flyover which is the largest over bridge in Delhi, followed by AIIMS Flyover, is to be the first beneficiary of the project. It is being estimated that AIIMS flyover, which is the oldest and second biggest flyover, and others flyovers and landscapes of South Delhi will be next on the agenda. The PWD has so far managed to carry out only horticultural work in these areas.
